Your bridal jewellery is as distinctive and unique as you are. Selecting your bridal jewellery is an important part of the outfit for every UK bride. Your essential jewellery will of course be your engagement ring and wedding ring which commonly may be white gold, yellow gold or platinum. For many brides this may be as far as the wedding jewellery accessory choices go but for many more choosing a unique piece of bridal jewellery to compliment your outfit is a must.

There are many styles to look out for and wedding magazines are a great place to pick up ideas. The style of your bridal outfit and how you plan to wear your hair will give you a good starting point.

Some brides may want to go for a bridal tiara or bridal headband. Wedding Headbands are very popular at the moment and will suit most hair styles. If you are wearing your hair up you may also want to accessorise with some bridal hair pins or comb. Odd numbers always work best when wearing hair pins or a combination of smaller bridal hair combs and pins.

Your dress style, in particular the neckline, will give you a good idea as to what bridal jewellery will work for you. If you have strapless wedding dress this is really a blank canvas, however if you have a very detailed dress you may want to consider not wearing a wedding necklace so as not to distract from the dress. Instead opt for some complimentary earrings and a beautiful bracelet.

Evening bridal jewellery is another area you may want to think of. Your wedding outfit can be transformed by changing your bridal accessories for the evening. Something sparkly, whether a diamante hairpin or some statement earrings works brilliantly under the party lights!
